Festival Dates:

  • Friday, May 30 (afternoon and evening)
  • Saturday, May 31 (morning and afternoon)

π‹πžπ―πžπ₯𝐬 𝟏-πŸ’: Rated on a 28-point scale and categorized as: β€œOutstanding, Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, or Needs Improvement.”
π‹πžπ―πžπ₯ πŸ“ - πŸ”: Rated on a 100-point rating scale. Students receive letter grades, including pluses and minuses.

PERFORMANCE COMPONENTS:
1. Performance of the required scales (or rudiments for percussion)
2.Performance of your solo work (from the NYSSMA Manual, Volume 33) **You MUST have TWO (2) original copies. Will only need one original copy if you have memorized your music.
3. Sight reading performance

NYSSMA FEES:

Levels 1 - 4 Woodwinds, Brass, Strings, and Voice: $20.00

Levels 5 - 6 Woodwinds, Brass, Strings: $30.00

By Using HomeTown Ticketing to Register and Pay for Your Child you will incur a small service fee on top of the NYSSMA fees.

Students who do not pay the fees will not be permitted to participate.

Payment and Registration are due MARCH 14th

One adult may enter the Festival site with each performer. Participants are encouraged not to bring younger siblings to the Festival site, unless absolutely necessary.

What to Bring:
Sheet music (Two (2) original copies). One if you have memorized your music.

Accompaniment recording, if needed
